Smiley Children Society Reinforces Its Commitment to Educational Equality for Every Child
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Equal access to education is essential for building an inclusive and progressive society. Working with this objective, Smiley Children Society has continued its mission of supporting underprivileged children through educational initiatives and community service since its establishment on January 19, 2019.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, the organization operates from its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Over the years, Smiley Children Society has focused on ensuring that children from financially disadvantaged families receive not only access to education but also the guidance and encouragement needed to continue learning.
One of the organization’s flagship initiatives is assisting children with admissions to government schools. Volunteers conduct regular outreach activities in nearby villages, identify children who are not attending school, meet with parents, explain the long-term value of education, and help complete the necessary admission procedures. These efforts have enabled many children to begin their educational journey with confidence.
The initiative has been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who commended the volunteers for their dedication and acknowledged Founder Prudhvi Moses for his sustained contribution to promoting education in rural communities.
“Education has the power to change lives across generations. Our mission is to ensure that no deserving child is denied the opportunity to study because of financial hardship or lack of awareness. Every child deserves a chance to build a better future,” said Prudhvi Moses.
To support students beyond school enrollment, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes at its Angara branch. These classes offer academic guidance, homework assistance, concept revision, and examination preparation, helping students strengthen their learning and improve their academic performance.
The organization also provides free dinner to children attending the tuition sessions. By combining educational support with nutritional assistance, Smiley Children Society seeks to create an environment where children can concentrate on learning while easing the financial burden on their families.
Beyond its direct educational programs, the organization continues to advocate for creative and child-friendly teaching methods in Anganwadi centres and primary schools. During educational events, including those held at ZPHS Angara, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged educators to adopt storytelling, activity-based learning, educational games, and visual teaching techniques that inspire curiosity and make learning enjoyable for young children.
As part of its commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure, Smiley Children Society regularly donates classroom equipment, learning materials, and teaching aids to schools that embrace innovative educational practices.
Looking ahead, the organization plans to expand its educational outreach, strengthen partnerships with schools and local communities, and encourage greater volunteer participation across Andhra Pradesh. Through its continued efforts in education, child welfare, and community development, Smiley Children Society remains dedicated to creating opportunities that empower children to learn, grow, and achieve their aspirations.
